Itinerary
DAY 1: Depart USA
Depart from New York (JFK) or Washington, DC (IAD) for South Africa to begin your cultural odyssey.
DAY 2: Arrive in South Africa
Arrive in Cape Town via Johannesburg. Check in at the 5-star Mandela Rhodes Place Hotel & Spa. Mandela Rhodes Place is a unique concept of modern city living, with a subtle blend of old and new in the magnificent surrounds of Cape Town’s ‘Old Town’.
DAYS 3 through 5: Cape Town
Cape Town is dominated by a towering, table-shaped mountain, set on a peninsula of soaring, rocky heights and lush valleys, where two oceans converge - Indian and Atlantic.
Enjoy free time to explore Cape Town on your own. Visit the famous Cape Peninsula, hike or take a cable car to Table Mountain, explore Robben Island (site of Nelson Mandela’s former prison cell) or meet locals in townships, churches and lively ‘shebeens’.
DAY 6: Depart Cape Town, Arrive at Kruger National Park
Depart the Cape on a flight to Johannesburg and then on to your private safari lodge in Kruger National Park. Check in at the 4-star Pondoro Game Lodge.

DAYS 7 & 8: Kruger National Park
Two full days in Kruger allow for morning and afternoon wildlife viewing excursions and the opportunity to pass through the bush on escorted walks. Observe the wildlife while enjoying lavish comfort, traditional cuisine and local culture at your safari camp.

DAY 9: Depart South Africa
A final morning to enjoy breakfast and a game drive before returning via air to Johannesburg to board your international flight.
